This project is funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the EC. The EuroPIC project is coordinated by COBRA. EuroPIC is a broadly based project, aiming to synthesise many of the functional components in the manufacturing chain. To bring the application of photonic integrated micro-systems with a high added value in advanced products within reach for a broad class of SMEs by reducing the entrance costs dramatically by more than one order of magnitude.
HELIOS - pHotonics ELectronics functional Integration on CMOS. PHotonics ELectronics functional Integration on CMOS. The mission of the large scale integrating project HELIOS was to make CMOS photonics accessible to a broad circle of users. During 4 years, from 2008 to 2012, the HELIOS consortium developed innovative means to combine a photonic layer with a CMOS circuit, using microelectronics fabrication processes. Several HELIOS partners are members of PLAT4M.
